Here is the basic info…
Lane Gardens CSA farm share debit cards
What is a Lane Gardens CSA Farm Share Debit Card, you ask!
Here are the steps to using one…
That is it! You can go home with your favorite picks of the day.
Just for some clarification - your usual CSA farm share is worth $25 or more. When you use your Lane Gardens debit card, you can purchase as little or as much as you would like for the week.
For example, say you only need a few salad items for the week, then you can spend $6 on your debit card.
Or, maybe you have family and friends coming over to watch Thursday Night Football or the hilarious Will and Grace and you need to make a large purchase to stock up on veggies to make baked sweet potato and butternut french fries, and more veggies to serve with your amazing dip and/or fondue. Then you can spend as much as you need to feed the masses.
For those of you that like the current pickup option, Laura will continue to offer the usual CSA farm share pickup option where she brings a selection of produce that she has harvested and you can pick them up at the CSA farm share tables and place them in your Lane Gardens blue grocery bag.
If you are not already friends on the Lane Gardens Facebook page (www.facebook.com/lane.gardens.7), please send a friend request. Laura posts weekly updates of the produce she will be bringing to the Stoughton Farmers Market, recipes, and nutrition facts.
2017 Market Season
Dear Friends of Stoughton Farmers Market:
This season we are offering something new: a local "mini- farmers market" with two of our loyal vendors: Lane Gardens and Rosie Bud Farms. The market has relocated to the Stoughton Old Colony YMCA at 445 Central Street, Stoughton, MA.
Fresh produce and local honey are available for purchase every Monday from 5-7pm (June through September 2017).
Laura Smith of Lane Gardens is now offering our community the opportunity to purchase summer CSA farm shares. CSA stands for "Community Supported Agriculture". This is our way to support local farmers by encouraging community members to purchase a farm share and receive produce throughout the growing season. Lane Gardens CSA includes a variety of freshly picked fruit, vegetables and eggs from her free-range chicks.
SNAP benefits will be available in the near future.
Although we do not have adequate structure in place at this time to effectively run the full multi-vendor Stoughton Farmers Market for this season, it is our hope that we can offer this alternative- and possibly build on this in the future.
We thank you all for participating in the blessings of our market over the last 5 years and hope this new venture will prove to be beneficial to all who participate. Please stay informed of our progress and future news regarding the CSA opportunity and upcoming promotional events and general news regarding the Stoughton Farmers Market via Facebook and this web site.
